Planning your engagement session
You just got engaged and have your photographer booked for your wedding! Does your collection come with an Engagement Session? Then, the next steps are to start planning for your engagement photos! Woooo Hooo!!
I LOVE engagement sessions. They are a great way for me to get to know you and for you to get to know me and how I work. So, by the time of the wedding, you will feel a lot more comfortable in front of the camera and will already be familiar with how I take photos! When you schedule your engagement session, deciding on which season first makes a huge impact on how your images look. Do you have a certain look and style you are going for with your engagement photos? Where, when, and what you are wearing is so important to achieving the final look. Here are some things to consider when planning which season to schedule your engagement session.
Winter has cooler tones with cool whites with blue and grey undertones. Snowy Sessions are a really fun way to get that great clean background with nature. The lighting is always so stunning too!!
Want a snowy winter session? You can sign-up for my snow session list to be alerted when there will be an opportunity for a snow session! Conditions have to be just right for a snow session, so I watch the weather like a hawk and then let you know of an upcoming snowfall that will make for a great snow session! Sign up here
Spring has a lot more color with florals in bloom and softer tones. Spring is probably one of my favorite seasons to shoot in because I love the look of flowers and that gorgeous spring sun.
Summer is usually associated with bright and vibrant colors. It’s a great time for cute sun dresses and fun apparel. It can also be a great season for anyone that favors green with all the rich greenery in the warm sun.
Fall definitely has warmer tones with beautiful foliage and a variety of yellow, oranges, and reds.
Every season has its own unique beauty! Once the season has been decided it will make narrowing down the location way easier! Check out my blog post about all my favorite locations for engagement sessions!
