A Fairytale Engagement at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens

Stan Hywet has a very special place in my heart. I worked there with my best friend back in High School in the Carriage House Cafe. I know this venue like the back of my hand and have had many great memories there. So, when Brooke and Joshua contacted me about their wedding at Stan Hywet as you can imagine I was very excited!! I just love the gardens and how they are all just so magical looking. The English Garden especially makes me think of the book the Secret Garden. It is just stunning at all times of the year.

I had a ball, laughing with these two as we walked around the grounds talking about their wedding day and love story. When I was in college, I worked a lot of summers and helped with many weddings. My favorite thing to do was to walk around the grounds with the photographer helping them and the couple with anything they needed.

I love how these two are in the theater industry and their charismatic personalities shined all through their session. They were both up for anything and came prepared with gorgeous attire perfect for photography.
